On April 9th 2010, morning around 8am I have started my journey back home by bus from Vijayawada to Hyderabad, I am very happy at that time recollecting all the sweet memories i had in my cousin’s wedding on 7th and my best friend’s house warming and also had very gud time with my old and best buddies…So I was in a very gud mood, usually i will not be.
As I like to sit at a window seat even this time I had conquered my place,,hehe. Started staring out from window as I wish to do in my journey, when bus passed by Ibraheempatnam i felt like there is something we are missing on this highway… after another hour of my journey noticed that there are machines cutting down the big trees on highway. Use to travel to Hyderabad by this road instead of going from my home town Guntur to enjoy the drive... But now!!!
A Tree that lives for 50 years generates
Rs: 5.3 lakhs worth of oxygen, recycles
Rs: 6.4 lakhs worth of fertility and soil
erosion control, creates Rs: 10.5 lakhs
worth of air pollution control and Rs:5.3
lakhs worth of shelter for birds and

So, when even one tree is planted or saved , the nation earns something worth more than 32 lakhs.

ఏప్రిల్ 9, శుక్రవారం ఉదయం, నేను విజయవాడ నుండి బయలుదేరాను, మనసంతా ఎంతో సంతోషం, బావ పెళ్ళి స్నేహితుడి గృహప్రవేశం. బాగా జరిగిన సంగతులు గుర్తు చేసుకుంటూ ముందు రోజు రాత్రి విజయవాడ లో 3 సంవత్సరాల తర్వాత కలిసిన చిన్న నాటి ఫ్రెండ్స్ అందరితో గడచిన సమయం ఎంతో ఆనందంగా వుంది...
బస్ విజయవాడ హైవే పై వేగంగా వస్తుంటే అలవాటు లో భాగంగా బయటకు చూస్తూ కూర్చున్నాను... ఇబ్రాహింపట్నం దాటగానే ఏదో కోల్పోతున్నాం అన్న భావన నా మనసులో... ఇంకా ఒక గంట సమయం గడిచిపోగానే రోడ్డు కి రెండు వైపులా పెద్ద పెద్ద చెట్లు నరికి వేస్తున్నారు... చిన్న నాటి నుండి ఎన్నో సార్లు తిరిగిన ఆ హైవే ఎంతో కొత్తగా బాధగా కనిపించింది... ఈ రోడ్ బాగుంటుంది అని గుంటూరు నుండి విజయవాడ వచ్చి అక్కడ నుండి హైదరాబాద్ వచ్చేవాడిని...
50 సంవత్సరాలు బతికే ఒక చెట్టు 5.3 లక్షల విలువైన ఆక్సిజన్ విడుదల చేస్తుంది

అదే మనం ఒక చెట్టును నాటినా లేక కాపాడినా మన దేశ సంపదలో 32లక్షలు కాపాడగలము..
ఈ చెట్లను కాపాడటం మన భాధ్యత... మన వంతు ప్రయత్నం మనం చేద్దాము
